GEOMETRICS G-880 and G-882 are high-performance towed cesium magnetometers that are used for magnetic surveys to detect pre-existing submarine cables and pipelines as well as anomaly mapping of the magnetic field in designated areas.
OEC is not merely able to perform single tow marine magnetic surveys but can also conduct tandem tow surveys, 4 parallel tow surveys using G882s on a ROTV (Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle) and two parallel tow surveys using G882s on a TVG (Transverse Gradiometer) frame.
OEC is able to process magnetic field data using industry standard software, GEOMETRICS MAG-Pick and/or SEEQUENT Oasis Montaj.
